After more than 20 years as a small animal vet and over 11,500 dogs treated, Dr John kept seeing the same problem walk through the door - dogs reacting to unnecessary ingredients in their treats.

So he created Buff Paws: simple, vet-developed treats made with carefully selected single proteins like buffalo, crocodile and venison, because every dog deserves treats they can enjoy without the upset.

Buff Paws is designed specifically for sensitive mutts. Unlike most dog foods that use chicken (the most common allergen for dogs), our recipes use novel, low-allergen proteins - buffalo, crocodile, and venison - developed by a vet with 25+ years of experience and a board-certified Veterinary Nutritionist.

2. How do I know if my dog needs a sensitive-diet food like this?

Common signs include skin allergies (itching, redness, eating grass), digestive issues (vomiting, diarrhoea, mucus-covered or runny poos), pancreatitis, a noisy or grumbly belly, or loss of appetite. If your dog experiences any of these, an elimination diet with limited, novel proteins may help.

6. Is the food raw, and is it over processed?

No - Buff Paws uses limited ingredients and isn't over processed. It's a raw-style diet with only the beneficial "good bits" your dog actually needs.

7. Why did you start Buff Paws?

Buff Paws was founded after Dr John noticed that around 40% of the 11,500+ dogs he's treated suffer from allergies - including his own dog, Sterlo, who has a sensitive belly. He created an elimination diet using single, novel proteins to help dogs who "suffer in silence."

8. How many ingredients are in each recipe?

Buff Paws keeps things simple - just three core proteins per product (buffalo, croc, venison) with a few carefully chosen additional ingredients, rather than a long list of fillers or allergens.
